—Rep. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) will host a free Community Shredding and Electronic Recycling Event to give residents of the 151st District the opportunity to recycle electronic equipment and safely destroy personal paperwork and credit cards.
The event, which will feature an on-site industrial paper shredder, will take place on Saturday, April 27, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Horsham Athletic Club, 400 Horsham Road in Horsham
“This is a great way to fight identity thieves who aggressively searching for credit card numbers, bank account information and Social Security numbers as a way to steal your ID,” Stephens said. “That’s why it’s so important to destroy documents containing this information. My event is a terrific opportunity to protect yourself from identity theft.”
There is no limit on the number of electronics individuals can recycle or the amount of paper that can be shredded. The Community Shredding and Electronic Recycling Event will be open to individuals only. Businesses will be unable to have their documents shredded at that time.
Televisions and computer monitors will be recycled for a flat rate of $30.
For more information, please call Stephens’ office at 215-368-5165.
