With Pennsylvania poised to become one of the leading producers of natural gas, Rep. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) and the Greater Horsham Chamber of Commerce have partnered to host an informational forum on Marcellus Shale and the natural gas industry in Pennsylvania on Thursday, March 10, 6:30 P.M., at the Horsham Twp. Community Center, 1025 Horsham Road.

“I’ve heard from many people on this issue and have become increasingly concerned with some of the misinformation circulating among my constituents.  I urge everyone to come out and get the facts by participating in this forum.”

In an effort to provide a comprehensive discussion of the issues, Stephens has arranged for representatives from groups that advocate for natural gas extraction and those charged with protecting the environment to participate including representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Marcellus Shale Coalition, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Pennsylvania Environmental Council.  The forum will be a question and answer format giving the audience the opportunity to question the industry officials.

“This forum will give my constituents the opportunity to learn about the natural gas industry from competing perspectives – affording all of us an opportunity to achieve a better understanding of the issues,” Stephens said.

Please contact Stephens’ office at 215-368-5165 with any questions or requests for additional information.
