– Rep. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) invites families with children or grandchildren to attend his second Annual KidsFest on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hatboro-Horsham High School located at 899 Horsham Road in Horsham Township. The event will be held outside unless it rains, in which case the event will be moved into the gymnasium.
KidsFest will be a fun-filled day for children. There will be a police K-9 demonstration performed by SEPTA at 11:30 a.m., a gymnastics performance by American Gymnastics and Cheer at noon, and a detonation demonstration performed by the Montgomery County Bomb Squad at 12:30 p.m. The Philadelphia Zoo will also have animals on hand, and Beanie Bounce will have a moon bounce available for play.
In addition to the fun, KidsFest is a great opportunity to learn about the many programs and services for children in the area. State, county and local community organizations will be available to provide important information for parents. Families can learn about Pennsylvania’s 529 College Savings Program, child care services, the Devereux Foundation, Montgomery County Community College’s Dental Hygiene Clinic, local emergency response departments, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops and many other organizations serving children in Montgomery County.
“As a father of two young children, I know how important these programs and services can be for families,” Stephens said. “KidsFest is a fun-filled way for families to come out and learn all about these important organizations.”
The event is free to the public. Over 50 organizations and vendors are participating in this year’s KidsFest. For more information including a full list of participating organizations, please visit www.RepToddStephens.com
