Stephens Sworn In as State Representative for 151st District

Rep. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) officially became a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives during a swearing-in ceremony at the state Capitol today. 

“It is truly an honor and a privilege to represent the people of the 151st District,” Stephens said.  “I am committed to seeing that their views and opinions are heard in Harrisburg.” 

Stephens said he will focus his legislative efforts on restoring strong fiscal discipline to the state budget, improving Pennsylvania’s business climate to encourage job creation and long-term stability, and fighting to reduce property taxes through more equitable school funding.  A career prosecutor before being elected to the state House, Stephens also plans to work on many law enforcement initiatives aimed at improving Megan’s Law, updating Pennsylvania’s Wiretap Act, and reducing gun violence. 

“With swearing-in day behind us, the hard work of governing begins.  I am committed to being the most responsive and effective lawmaker I can be,” Stephens said.  “I encourage residents to contact me with their questions or concerns about state government.”
