Stephens to Host Senior Expo
HARRISBURG--Rep. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) invites seniors, their families and their caregivers to attend his Senior Living Expo on Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon, at Simmons Elementary School, located at 411 Babylon Road in Horsham. The event will be held inside the gymnasium.

The Senior Living Expo is a great opportunity to learn about the many programs and services for seniors in our area. State, county and local community organizations focusing on senior citizens and their care will be on hand providing important information for seniors, their families and their caregivers. Seniors can learn about free or reduced legal services, veterans’ benefits, the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, free SEPTA services, and many other programs serving seniors in our community.

In addition to the exhibitors, at 10:30 a.m., the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office will conduct a presentation on “Senior Crime Prevention” in the Simmons Elementary School Forum.

“Pennsylvania provides a great deal of benefits and services to assist its older residents,” Stephens said. “Unfortunately, many of Pennsylvania’s seniors who could utilize these benefits and services are unaware they exist. For that reason, I encourage local senior citizens, their families and their caregivers to visit my Senior Living Expo and learn about what Pennsylvania has to offer.”

The event is free to the public. Over 50 organizations and vendors are participating in this year’s Senior Living Expo. For a full list of participating organizations or more information, please visit my website at or contact Tim Ward in Rep. Stephens’ office at 215-368-5165.
