Stephens Backs Grants to EMS Companies

HARRISBURG—Rep. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) joined a bipartisan majority of his House colleagues in unanimously passing legislation to make $25 million in grant money available for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to offset COVID-19 impacts. Gov. Tom Wolf signed it into law Feb. 10.

WHAT: Reps. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery), Meghan Schroeder (R-Bucks) and Todd Polinchock (R-Bucks) will host the House Republican Policy Committee for a roundtable discussion on the economic development potential of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, the need for continued PFAS removal, and the benefits of Act 101. Members will take a SEPTA bus tour of the Willow Grove Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base and visit a local well. Members of the media will be allowed on the tour, but photos are restricted.

Stephens Announces State Infrastructure Award to Help Aqua Fund PFAS Filtration Plant

HARRISBURG—Rep. Todd Stephens (R-Montgomery) today announced that the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) board of directors has approved Pennsylvania’s first funding award pursuant to Act 101 of 2019, Stephens’ legislation to fund efforts to remediate per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a toxic contaminant found in water sources and systems throughout the Commonwealth.
